Aline Blankertz leads the project “Data Economy” at the think tank Stiftung Neue Verantwortung and assesses economic, technical and social issues in order to develop innovative data policy recommendations.
Aline has been working on many topics related to the data economy for various years. Prior to joining Stiftung Neue Verantwortung, she managed analyses of the platform economy, data protection, algorithms, fairness in e-commerce and intermediary liability at the economic consultancy Oxera, for clients including Google, Skyscanner and the UK consumer association Which?. She also taught courses for EU judges on competition in digital markets. She studied at the Hochschule St. Gallen (Switzerland), Universidad Torcuato di Tella (Argentina), University of Oxford (UK), WWU Münster and Chulalongkorn University (Thailand).
