Paul is a solicitor (England & Wales) and attorney (New York, USA), specialising across data privacy, cybersecurity and digital / technology matters.
Paul began his legal career with Global law firm, DLA Piper before joining one of the world’s largest financial institutions, HSBC working as a Senior Legal Counsel specialising in Global Data Privacy, Digital, Cyber & Innovation matters. Paul has since assisted companies across multiple sectors including global oil giant, Saudi Aramco.
Paul is the CEO & Founder of legal technology company, Kormoon. Kormoon is a technology development business helping companies to navigate the complexity of the law, simply. Kormoon are working with Protegrity to enable the use of data in a compliant and secure manner.
Paul is a regular speaker on data protection, digital and cyber security related issues. As a former associate of DLA Piper, Paul has published numerous articles, including the creation and development of DLA Piper’s global data protection laws handbook.
Paul is the former chair of a legal and regulatory working group for the Financial Services Information Sharing and Analysis Centre on cyber security related issues. Paul also acted as the co-Chair of a legal and regulatory working group for the UK Government’s Open Banking Working Group (more information here).
