2005 to 2013 Vice-Chairman of the SPD Parliamentary Group in the Bundestag for the environment, nature conservation and reactor safety, food, agriculture and consumer protection, and sustainability
Dec. 2013 to March 2018 Parliamentary State Secretary to the Federal Minister of Justice and Consumer Protection
